The performance of the Galaxy A12 is just Ok, and it is good for daily activities like using small apps, small games, messaging, calling, emailing, and other small activities. You can play PUBG and Call of duty at lower graphics settings because the processor of A12 is low.
Samsung Galaxy A12 comes with a Mediatek MT6765 Helio P35 (Octa-Core) chipset, PowerVR GE8320 GPU, max 6GB of RAM, Max 128GB storage, and 48MP camera, LCD Display, Android 10, and other good specs.
Samsung Galaxy A12 is an affordable phone, and the starting price of the 4/64GB variant is 29000($180) in Pakistan, but it comes with the lowest processor. And, at this price, there is a lot of phones available in the market, that offers powerful processor and brilliant specs, like Realme X2 pro and Realme X3 SuperZoom which offers Snapdragon 855+(Octa-Core, 7nm ) chipset and other powerful specs.
In Pakistan, there are two variants launched, one is 4GB/64GB in 29000 and the second one is 4/128GB in 33000. In the mid of February 2021, the Galaxy A12 launch is expected in India.

Galaxy A12 Performance
The performance of this phone is OK because it has a lower and outdated processor called MediaTek P35, but it is faster than Snapdragon 450, which that inserted in galaxy A11. In 2021, there is a lot of phones available in the market that have a powerful processor and other brilliant specs at an affordable price.
Galaxy A12 has a PowerVR GE8320 GPU inserted in mid-range smartphones, and it belongs to the series8XE series of GPUs. It can run up to 680 Mhz and is optimized for light gaming on 1080p displays, and supports OpenGL ES 3.2, Vulkan 1.0, Android NN HAL API, and Open CL 1.2.
Galaxy A12 running Android 10 with UI 2.5 offers a lot of new security features and other features.
Overall performance of this phone is OK, and I already say Galaxy A12 is good for daily activities, but not good for gaming. If you want to buy a phone for gaming, then it’s not for you. I think Samsung made this phone for those users who want a mobile with a good camera, powerful battery life, and good display for watching movies.
Display & Design
Samsung Galaxy A12 4G offers biggest 6.5 inch PLs TFT LCD (infinity-V) display with HD+ (720 X 1600) resolution, 16MP color depth, 450 to max 600nits brightness and 85.8% screen-to-body ratio.
It is a mid-range phone, that’s why it has a 720p display and almost all mid-range phones in the market come with a 720p display. It’s okay because the 720p resolution is good for watching movies and other videos and also took little battery as compared to 1080p. The display is OK because it is TFT, not IPS.
The design of the A12 is the same as the Galaxy A42 5G. The back and frame of this phone are made of plastic, and it’s a new two-toned matted down plastic, and Galaxy A11 also has a plastic back and plastic frame. There is no Gorilla Glass protection, and the fingerprint scanner is built on the power button on the right side. This phone has three slots, and the carrier compatibility with gsm networks is also good.
Samsung Galaxy A12 4G Camera
Galaxy A12 got a quad-camera setup on the back with a 48MP main camera, 5MP Ultra-Wide, 2MP macro, 2MP depth sensor, and 8MP Selfie camera. The camera setup is better than Galaxy A11 and also got the biggest 48MP camera. But the video quality and colors of this phone are not good. You can record FHD+ (1080p) videos at 30fps.
The photos clicked by the primary camera and front camera are good, but the video quality of the galaxy A12 is not good. The main camera also has 10X zoom, but the quality in zoom is so bad.
Battery Life
Samsung Galaxy A12 got the biggest 5000mAh Li-Po non-removable battery. The battery life of this phone is brilliant because it got a big battery for a mid-range Smartphone. The battery fully charged 0-100% in 2 hours because it got a huge battery, and when it’s fully charged, then it gives two days of battery life normally.
According to Samsung, the Galaxy a12 offers up to 20 hours of battery life on internet usage with LTE, 19hours of internet usage by using Wi-Fi, up to 21 hours of video playback, and 34 hours of talk time. It comes with 15W fast charging.
